First Drone Food Delivery

First Drone Food Delivery

Drones that are flying without hitting obstacles in their path is no small task by itself. Now we’re witnessing the first drone delivery of chicken sandwitch, donuts and hot coffee. Well isn’t that quite the sight.

These were the items included in the first drone delivery featuring 7-Eleven and Flirtey in collaboration.

We were most thrilled to see this. The US Federal Aviation Administration updated their rules this year so that few drone deliveries and operations are allowed in US airspace, which is no small feat all-together too, considering their strict policy’s

Flirtey is a drone-tech startup company, creating their own type of drones located in Reno, Nevada where the actual event happened. Some fresh donuts together with hot coffee and a chicken sandwich, all together carefully placed in a special container able to keep both cold and hot food perfectly still and well, was flown to a local apartment to surprise a family in a very positive way.

Many US online giants as we might know, are putting great interest in drone delivery, such as Amazon, but in this  case they were a bit late, and lets say they all took the punch from Flirtey’s first official drone supply delivery.

Also worth mentioning is that Flirtey is aiming at drone-delivery of relief supplies using as part of humanitarian attribution all over the world, helping those most in need.

With main interest to broaden their partnership with 7-Eleven to a larger convenience deliveries.

From here on, drone delivery can only lead to a huge trend where as it could prove huge convenience to people all around the world. More Importantly to those who have some kind of difficulty or inaccessibility of getting items while in urgent need for groceries, medicines, or water.

A great hope and promise for us , as costumers , sparked as the Federal Aviation Administration to have allowed this in entirety.
