When it comes to basketball, it associated us with Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bill Russel, Karl Malone, Wilt Chamberlain, Kobe Bryant etc. But in the recent years a new name is amongst them – Stephen Curry, son a of former NBA player, Dell Curry who was a great shooter in his time. Steph is absolutely incredible and unusual playmaker with marvelous skills, simply a magician. Using an unorthodox shot, he is able with quick reflexes and releasing the ball so quickly that is very difficult to block. He is already considered by many basketball experts as the greatest shooter in NBA history. When Steph breaks his own three-point record, that actually means that he breaks an all-time NBA record. In 2015/2016 season he made 402 three-point shots, way ahead of the previous record set by him, 286 threes in 2014/2015.
In May 2016 he was announced as unanimous MVP of the year while helped his Golden State Warriors break Chicago Bulls record in 1995/1996. Jordan’s Bulls won 72 and lost 10 matches, Steph’s Warriors won 73 and lost only 9. For the first time in NBA history, one player collected all votes for the prestigious award, 2nd consecutive for Curry. After the 2nd consecutive MVP award, Steph will try to win the 2nd consecutive championship ring.
Curry was selected by Golden State Warriors in 2009 as 7th pick in the 1st round and year by year he’s getting better and better. With national team of United States in 2010 and 2014 he became world champion. In the coming Olympic games, Curry alongside LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins and other star players will try to won the golden medal.

In personal life he’s married with his longtime girlfriend Ayesha Alexander back in 2011. They have two daughters, Riley (born 2012) and Ryan (born 2015).
